I try to keep up with various photo challenges and projects to keep the creative juices flowing. I fall behind and lose track, but thankfully I follow enough other photobloggers that I keep moderately informed. Thanks to Living the Q Life, I have a photo for the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge. I’m also cheating and using this as my #365project #photoaday.
I took this along with some other photos at the botanic garden for another photo challenge, but really found the guy looking into my shot a little creepy. In turn, it fits this challenge perfectly!
For the record, I took exactly one photo today. Coe, who has slept one full night in the last month, has me completely exhausted. She slept ALL DAY today. We, meaning she, are on some new meds that hopefully will allow us to get some rest during normal darkness hours.

I have fallen behind here with my #photoaday but have been posting for the #365project. To get caught up, I’m lumping them all together here.
With the snow a too recent memory, I’ve been craving color and have been drawn to anything bright. This evening’s sunset was brilliant. As were the flowers and peppers at the grocery.
This weekend Coe and I got out for a walk while it was warm. For being such a gorgeous weekend, we managed to find some moments of silence at the park.
This was the other evening at sunset. When I snapped this, I was drawn to the clouds. After looking at it on the screen, it looked like a mysterious tunnel to another story.

Fingers crossed today is the last of the really-really bad weather for us. It should get above freezing tomorrow and as long as the sun is out, the ice will melt. We will be left with a muddy, mushy mess, but there is always a price for beauty.
My internet wanderings the last few days, have found another photo challenge for me to follow. The theme for this week is structure in nature.
The structure in the snow and ice crystals that formed in a footprint are quite amazing. There is so much to see when you stop and take in the world around you.
The structure of the day into the night is an important ritual for us. It is so often overlooked because of its repetitiveness. It is one of my favorite parts of the day.

inThis week’s WP weekly photo challenge is weathered. Memphis got a snow day so I didn’t get out. I enjoyed most of the day curled up with Ginger Kitty. Coe and I got out for a nice walk in the snow so most of the photos I took are just weather.
Ginger has a chair that she lives on during the warmer months and it has weathered beautifully. It’s even pretty all covered in snow. I put the pink ribbons on it so no humans would think they can sit in this chair.
I threw a couple snow day photos in with the chair so you’d see she is a fair weather chair friend.

inI’m not very good at being a sweet caregiver. Thus, I posted a picture of my mother with a bag of frozen peas on her nose. Coe is aging and I’m having trouble being as understanding and sympathetic as needed at times. Especially when she makes me get up at 4AM.
The upside to going for a walk at that ridiculous hour is I get to see some pretty cool stuff I’d otherwise sleep through.

inI grew up four hours south of where I’m living now and I can recall one winter that was really, really cold. When I moved back from the Pacific NW, I got rid of ski suits, wool army pants, and anything that would be needed in the arctic.
Big mistake. Big. Huge.#365project #photoaday #livingthecoldlife

Mother nature is amazing; a never ending source of entertainment if you just keep your eyes open.
A few years ago I saw earthworms having sex. Bugs are so much fun.
