My father had a way about him. He wasn’t always the nicest guy, but I know he loved me. He had a sarcastic sense of humor. I can’t tell you how many birthday cards I gave him with a picture of a little kid picking their nose that said I picked this one just forContinue reading “The things that stick in our head”

What ya got for me?
I went for a walk this evening and had my own personal episode of Wild Kingdom. The horses were hanging out by the fence waiting for treats. The deer were romping through the woods. Mother Nature amazes once again. I can appreciate the beauty of mushrooms, I just wished they didn’t taste so terrible, not that thisContinue reading “Mushroom Monsters”
Evening blush
With our walks quite short some days, I’m having to look around our suburban surroundings more and more to find a #photoaday. This was in my neighbor’s yard and matched the color in the evening sky very nicely.

Coming home to cook dinner has always been one of my favorite things. After my glorious road trip, I’m trying to be good so tonight’s dinner is cauliflower fried rice w sautéed carrots, bell peppers & cabbage topped w sweet chili sauce and cilantro.
