I know I’ve written about this before, but I’m still so surprised by how much where I live feeds, and squelches, my creativity. While I don’t make resolutions, I am going to make a significantly greater effort in the new year, despite living in the boring suburbs, to live more creatively. I’m going to pick up the 365 project again with grand plans of better results.
I’ve got some unexpected free time as this new year is kicking off and I plan to make good use of it.
I found this quote on fb and am going to make this my resolution:
“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”
Neil Gaiman
Here’s the year in review… beware it is pic heavy. Lots of awesome food, good friends, family, travel, and the pets.
Happy new year, Lula! I look forward to each of your posts. I hope I have the opportunity to visit Memphis someday soon.
