New Year New Classes

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on my page. A million reasons why, but I’m going to try and do better going forward.

One thing I am going to do is post my emails here as well as to my mailing list.

Since I’ve been in Maryland, I’ve been teaching a painting class once a month. It’s always so much fun. No matter how grumpy I am with the real world, I always leave those classes in a much better headspace.

A sample from some of my workshops.

Starting in January 2025, I will be offering a class at the community center near my apartment and I just sent an email to spread the word.

Good morning art friends,
You are getting this email because you have taken a class from me in the past or signed up for my email list.

Just wanted to share a couple of thoughts and ideas just in case you need last-minute gifts.

In addition to my classes at the Workhouse Art Center, I’m offering a class in January in Rockville, Maryland. Classes in Rockville will start Tuesday January 7. Class size is limited and would make a great gift for your Maryland folks.

Just like at the Workhouse, the first class (1/7/25) is Paint Pouring Basics and then the next class will build on our skills learned. The second class scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st. I’ve been playing with new techniques and new tools I’m excited to share with folks in Rockville.

I’ve been traveling a lot the last couple of months, not by choice. I have been in the car for many hours, and have been listening to some great audiobooks. If you aren’t familiar with the Libby app, you absolutely should check it out. It’s so you can listen to audiobooks, read e-books or magazines from your local library. The Sunset Years of Agnes Sharp was great. A mystery that also makes you think about life and aging. I’m currently reading the new series by Richard Osman, We Solve Murders. I’m about half-way through and really enjoying it.

Before the crazy travel took over, I took a class with Jennifer Wilkin Penick on gelli printing.  I’m slightly obsessed with that right now. One thing I’m really enjoying about this technique is I can play briefly, make very little mess, but feel extremely satisfied I’ve done something creative.

I’m including links to everything I’ve mentioned here, plus as a bonus, I’m also including a link to my Amazon supplies list.  I don’t get any referral points or anything like that, but these are just a few of the things I find myself purchasing again and again or have come to find quite helpful.

If you want to see what I’m working on now, please follow me on Instagram. If you want to see what all I’ve read this year or what I read next, follow me on Goodreads.

Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you all in the new year!

While I don’t send many emails, if you’d like to be removed from all future emails, please unsubscribe below.

Cheers,

If you have anyone in Maryland, please help me spread the word!
