This week’s Photo Challenge topic is Layers. I mentioned earlier that we have been having the craziest fall weather. I’ve not minded in the slightest. The sun can stay shining all year if she chooses to- I’d be delighted! I took this photo last week. My roses were blooming in November! The delicate layers of petals have since blown away with a storm.

No kidding! Woke up this morning to our first frost!
I spent my late afternoon covering plants in preparation for the next week of frosty mornings. I have about 7 one-gallon perennials that never got planted, I gathered them on the deck next to the wall of the house and covered them with an insulated blanket. Don’t want those roots to freeze! I have three citrus trees in pots covered in there too.
I’m almost jealous of the time you have to take care of all that! ALMOST 😉 I missed the window for protecting plants. If they survive, great. If not, oh well
