Do I need to say any more that title?
I applewood smoked 2 cups of Portland 88 Vodka for 40 minutes. Then used the smoked vodka to make one of the most amazing martinis.
1 part applewood smoked 88
1/2 part Hot Monkey Vodka
1″ bacon
shake, strain, enjoy.
Yum! Have the Hot Monkey. Can get the bacon. You bring the applewood and Portland 88. It can go on the egg with the pork butt. BFFand Ever!!!

The smoke flavor was quite big but the Hot Monkey was a good balance. and bacon (oh my yum). it was a very good combination. Veggies could leave the bacon out and still have a beautiful martini. Thanks for stopping by.

I love you dearly, but that beverage did not look good. But man, it tasted great! And I’m still thinking about that bacon.

If you have ever grilled low and slow, I set the grill up for that. coals only on one side of the grill. I poured 2 cups of vodka in a pyrex bowl. I set the pyrex bowl on the side of the grill opposite from where the coals were. Position the lid holes over the bowl side of the grill. I checked the flavor at 20 minutes and it wasn’t quite enough, so I left it for another 20 minutes. When I poured the vodka off I had only lost maybe 1-2 ounces. The temperature is at about 200-250 and there is no flame, only smoke. So you aren’t burning off the alcohol only infusing it. Enjoy!
